"God, I wish I knew how to quit you!"Ostensibly the most famous quote in the ass-reaming cowboy movie. We just got to watch it a couple days ago thanks to the wonders of (cough, cough) BitTorrent.
I'm glad I didn't watch it in the cinema: the critics are right! it's just your usual boy-meets-girl story (to paraphrase Mr. Mike Solis, "it's sad to belong to someone else, when the right one comes along..") except there is no girl. But otherwise a completely typical movie.
And there's nothing much of interest there. Anne Hathaway's celebrated boobs are only in evidence for like two seconds, and they're a far cry from the silicone-enhanced boobies we all have come to expect from the showbiz world.
So what exactly is the point of this movie? well, I have no idea.. it's certainly video-store rental fodder. But not quite Everest.
And I'm posting this with Firefox on Linux. For the first time in literally ages, am running Linux at home and using Smart Wi-Fi. For some strange reason (or perhaps because it's Saturday morning) the connection is back to its old 400kbit-ish speed. Or maybe it's Linux. Whatever, I'm not questioning my good fortune.
